ERI Commodity Finance (ERIF)

ERIF is a specialty finance platform focused on financial services within the physical commodity, agriculture and refined product sectors.

ERIF provides secured term lending, revolving credit facilities and working capital facilities for inventory finance and infrastructure expansion.

​ERIF’s initial focus is West Africa, a region of western Africa with a population of ~400 million people in 2019.  ERIF’s starting point is the country of Ghana located on the Gulf of Guinea, which serves as a growing hub for distribution of refined products in West Africa.  

 

In addition, Ghana is the world's second largest cocoa producer behind Ivory Coast, and Africa's biggest gold miner after South Africa. With a population of ~30 million, Ghana is one of the continent's fastest growing economies, with associated reduction of poverty and growth in consumerism. 

 

The 2007 discovery of the Jubilee Oil Field offshore Ghana’s Western Region in the South Atlantic established the country as an important member of the international energy complex.
